Thanks to donations, Christine will be performing for Chicagoland area schools during the 2009-2010 school year. She will be giving a series of intimate performances to students in drama and music during their class periods. Performances are available to schools for free or for very reduced fees. Christine Steyer is a soprano who has sung professionally for over 15 years. She has sung over 20 opera roles and has receive critical acclaim for her mature voice, artistry and acting. in addition to a vast repertoire in the oratorio and recital genres, Steyer has won prizes at major competitions and is featured on a CD of sacred music - a collaborative project with New York Times best-selling author Caroline Myss.

Steyer is the Co-founder and Artistic Director of Bellissima Opera based in Oak Park, IL.
